Come join our growing team at St. Joseph Country Club as an Assistant Superintendent. Something special is happening at SJCC as our owner has made the commitment to be one of the top clubs in the state and region. SJCC has a long proud history of hosting more Missouri state amateur events than any other club. We are starting the process of building a 19^th hole while many other on course renovations are planned in the future. We are making continual improvements while preparing for the clubs 125th anniversary in 2023 and Missouri Amateur in 2024.

This position is a hands-on management position working with the Keeper of the Greens and current Assistant in all aspects of the operation. For the motivated candidate, he/she will develop their knowledge and skills while becoming well prepared to take the next step to a head superintendent position. The Assistant Superintendent will perform, assign, supervise and follow up on the daily maintenance of the golf course, practice facility, clubhouse landscapes. 

• Strong irrigation knowledge
• Preferred is a two-year degree or certificate in a turf related field. 
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Ability to perform any task needed to meet course standards.
• Highly motivated with strong work ethic and a positive can-do spirit.
• Attention to detail, ability to complete tasks.
• Good oral and written communication skills with members and staff.
• Must be able to multitask while adapting and changing to weather, staffing or seasonal needs.

Would consider new or future graduate wanting to do an internship that could lead into the permanent position. Tuition assistance may be available for the right candidate.

$45,000+ DOE. Negotiable for the right experience candidate.
